Work Package 4 - Archaeological application

The bio-indicators of a captive life style drawn from WP2 and WP3 will be tested on archaeological series of Sus scrofa selected among French collections covering the Mesolithic and Neolithic period for the quality of their chrono-cultural contextualisation at the transition from hunting to herding and for their debated domestic vs. wild status.

New protocol of 3D form quantification will be designed in order to fit the high fragmentation of the archaeological material.
